2023 July 4th ParadeMonument’s Independence Day Parade 2023 was “Honoring Our Greatest Generation: WW II Soldiers.” Over 30 TLWC ladies walked the parade as “Rosie the Riveters or performed as cheerleaders to Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy. Red, white & blue pom-poms were shaken as the Rosies handed out LOTS of candy! Thanks to all for donating the candy, the kids sure love receiving it. We also had two banners celebrating TLWC’s 50th Anniversary and the Tri-Lakes Chamber of Commerce 2022 Non-profit of the Year award. Pam Perry rode in the chamber car to celebrate and Billie Healy drove her Mustang with Past President Nancy Pokorny. | Our Parade entry won the President's Award from Kiwanis! Thanks to Sue Leggiero, Kelly Trop and Jan McKinley for organizing such a fun event! July 4th Parade Memories |

Recently, a large group of ladies participated in TLWC’S Build-A-Bed Service project through the Sleep in Heavenly Peace Organization. What a great turnout for a great organization! In addition to the 30 members & husbands who volunteered, members donated both bedding and cash to help provide beds to children in our community. Did you know that 1-2% of children from all areas and income levels in greater Colorado Springs, Northern El Paso County, and Eastern Teller County don’t have a bed to sleep on? Thanks to TLWC members' efforts, more of them will! | Building Beds for ChildrenNo pictures to show |

Caring in Action provides bag lunches for working homeless neighbors in need at the Springs Rescue Mission. Each month we make 40 to 50 lunches that include a sandwich, chips, fruit, drink, and sweet treat. We then deliver them to the mission to be given to those who are heading out to work. For more information on how you can help, members can contact leaders, Maureen Morgan or Pam Cutcliff. Contact details are on the SOS/CIA Home Page.
Email Cindy at admin@tlwc.net if you need assistance with putting the app on your phone or navigating through it. | MOBILE APP AVAILABLEYou can download an App for your phone which lets you access the key elements of your TLWC membership. The App’s name is Wild Apricot for Members. It is available on both the App Store for iPhones and the Play Store for Android. After you open the app for the first time, you use your regular TLWC email and password to login. The app makes it super easy to find members’ phone numbers and email addresses (under Directory), see and edit your profile (under Profile), see what events are coming up (under Events), and what events you’re registered for (under Tickets). You can easily register for an event or cancel in each event listing. Additionally, the address for the event is clickable so it will go directly to your mapping app and lead you right where you want to go! |
