TLWC Voted Non Profit of the Year!

The Tri-Lakes Chamber of Commerce named Tri-Lakes Women’s Club their ‘2022 Non Profit of the Year’ at the Chamber’s Annual Awards Dinner on April 15th . The nominees and award winners were celebrated for their significant service and contributions to our community. We want to acknowledge all our devoted and hard-working TLWC members. You have made a positive impact in our community in countless ways. And a huge 'Thank you!" to Charlie Ann Hayes and Ann Cook for representing TLWC at the awards banquet.

                          And Much More!

A large group of ladies participated in TLWC’S Build-A-Bed Service project through the Sleep in Heavenly Peace Organization recently.  What a great turnout for a great organization!  In addition to the 30 members & husbands who volunteered, members donated both bedding and cash to help provide beds to children in our community.   Did you know that 1-2% of children from all areas and income levels in greater Colorado Springs, Northern El Paso County, and Eastern Teller County don’t have a bed to sleep on?  Thanks to TLWC members' efforts, a few more of them will!

Building Beds for Children

First Responders Thank You Project

Our generous members recently donated $800 in cash and gift card plus baked goods for area firefighters and police.  This is the second year we've collected for our local heros.  Judy Sawyer and Sandra Sciadini (pictured left) collected the donations and delivered the much appreciated gifts.

Holiday Home Tour 2022

Despite winter weather advisories and freshly fallen snow the first day of the event, nearly 550 tickets were sold and over $14,000 was raised for our community grants program.  The homes were beautifully decorated, the Hospitality House was welcoming, and the volunteers were delightful!

The success of the Holiday Home Tour is the result of our amazing members who volunteered their time and talents to plan, execute and support the many facets of the home tour, from publicizing far and wide, obtaining sponsorships, recruiting volunteers, serving as hostesses at tour homes, and baking cookies, to assisting in the Hospitality House with tickets, raffle, and gift shoppe - as well as countless other tasks that led to a nearly flawless event.  And let's not forget the gnome making parties!  All of the gnomes sold out, as did our notecards and gnome hat bottle toppers.

Photos of the Holiday Home Tour are on the website, JoysoftheSeasonHT.org, so be sure and visit to see all the decorated homes and wonderful memories of the event.

A huge THANK YOU to each and everyone of you who made this event a success!.

2022 July 4th Parade

Thank you to our entire team of TLWC walkers, banner carriers, decorators, drivers and helpers for the incredible showing at Monument's 4th of July Parade!

Our parade float, decorated to “Honor our Educators” was a major success.  We want to extend a HUGE thank you to our generous members who donated bags of candy. We used it all!

Thousands of people enjoyed this amazing hometown parade, and we are so proud to have been part of this wonderful Monument tradition

Caring in Action News

Caring in Action provides bag lunches for working homeless neighbors in need at the Springs Rescue Mission. Each month we make 40 to 50 lunches that include a sandwich, chips, fruit, drink, and sweet treat. We then deliver them to the mission to be given to those who are heading out to work.   For more information on how you can help, members can contact leaders Charlie Ann Hayes or Ann Cook.  Contact details are on the SOS/CIA Home Page

Email Cindy at admin@tlwc.net if you need assistance with putting the app on your phone or navigating through it.

MOBILE APP AVAILABLE

You can download an App for your phone which lets you access the key elements of your TLWC membership.  The App’s name is Wild Apricot for Members.  It is available on both the App Store for iPhones and the Play Store for Android.   After you open the app for the first time, you use your regular TLWC email and password to login

The app makes it super easy to find members’ phone numbers and email addresses (under Directory), see and edit your profile (under Profile), see what events are coming up (under Events), and what events you’re registered for (under Tickets).  You can easily register for an event or cancel in each event listing.  Additionally, the address for the event is clickable so it will go directly to your mapping app and lead you right where you want to go!
